Killing Veerappan

Veerappan began his career in crime in 1970 and was first arrested in 1972. Veerappan initially developed as a sandalwood and ivory smuggler, killing elephants for the latter. He later started killing those who resisted his activities. He committed his first murder at the age of 17 .

K.S.Sridhar
Gadda Viji

Ramesh Pandit
Dr.Krishna Shrikanth Iyengar
Gundragovi Satya

A cop is killed by Veerappan (Sandeep Bharadwaj) and the dead man’s wife Priya (Lisa Ray) joins the force as a spy to avenge her husband’s death. And she uses the bandit’s wife to get to him. That, more or less.

Veerappan’s reign of terror, his poaching and smuggling, the bandit reveling in his mockery of the forces, hiding out in labyrinthine forests, passing time killing an elephant or two.

The work is made easier after Veerappan’s wife Muthulakshmi (Usha Jadhav) leaves his side in the forest after one of the many encounter efforts to kill the dacoit. Lisa Ray seizes the opportunity and poses as a landlord to Muthu, always on the lookout for that one piece of information that would lead the force to her husband. And what have you? Muthu is unguarded at a vulnerable moment.

RGV has told it taut, specially in the second half that is all about Operation Killing Veerappan. Sandeep’s tranformation as Veerappan is commendable -- from his looks to his dialect. Here’s an actor waiting to be explored. Usha too plays it easy. Sachiin was a delight and perhaps this is his best performance so far.

Waiting

Waiting is a 2015 Indian comedy drama film directed by Anu Menon.

Cast:-

“What is true love,” Kalki Koechlin’s Tara Kapoor asks Naseeruddin Shah’s Professor Shiv Natraj. The question might seem juvenile, but in their situation, the answer will decide their lives.
Is it removing your wife’s ventilator support as doctors say she can’t come back to life after eight months in coma or is it not letting doctors operate on your husband because he’ll end up dependent forever – a choice he wouldn’t like?

And that is Waiting for you, a movie about love, life and their complexities, subtly portrayed on screen by Anu Menon, and brilliantly so. The movie traces two strangers – Tara and Shiv – who develop a heartwarming bond as they struggle through the long wait for their spouses to recover in a hospital.
